Atmospheric Sciences is a graduate program under the Department of Meteorological Engineering and provides MSc and PhD education. The mission of the Atmospheric Sciences Graduate Program is to make the Department of Meteorological Engineering an attractive, internationally sought-after center of excellence in atmospheric sciences education and research. It aims to educate individuals who will be successful all over the world, who know how to learn and teach, who can conduct disciplinary and interdisciplinary research and communicate effectively, and lead the contribution of atmospheric sciences and technology to the modernization of our country.

After completing the Atmospheric Sciences graduate program you will be an expert who can develop projects on special and interdisciplinary topics including weather analysis and prediction, climate change, air quality, efficient use of renewable energy and water resources, meteorological support required by the transportation sector, effects of atmospheric variability on satellite technologies and electromagnetic communication, mitigation of meteorological disasters, and efficient use of agricultural and forest areas according to meteorological conditions.
